You're so obvious

Between caffeine and daydreams
When all I see is loveliness

I grasp it candidly

For one moment it's real
And I know it's fleeting

It's tiresome to chase the sun
Abandoned dreams and you're left numb
Days are bleak and all you have is time

Collecting dust hopeless and marred
Shadows shifting shades of black to black

Exiled from life heavy and dry
Like Atlas holding up the sky
Dwarf star suspended out in space

Passions fade into the night
Escape your heart without a fight
Memories they echo endlessly
